The Sixth Mass Extinction, or more dearly known as the climate crisis, is a difficult topic that no one is a stranger to. There is no easy way to talk about it, but what if there's a better way to present it? When we started this project, we had one goal in mind: to tell a compelling story about an unsettling and difficult subject in a palatable and engaging way. We wanted people to fully immerse into a subject — one that genuinely inspires them to dive deep — all without feeling intimidated. Our design approach for this project plays into maximising the possibilities of parallax using a horizontal scroll. We wanted to create a 3D effect using only 2D elements, giving each animal and its environment depth and personality.
