WORK/ PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
I wanted this work to represent a social cause I stand for, focusing on a positive, powerful visual. Inspired by the Queer Code of flowers, the bouquet contains include green carnations, lavender, violets, pansies, and roses. Each of these flowers represents different LGBTQ+ identities, stories, or movements seen throughout queer history, as well as today's queer movements. The flowers have become a symbol of queerness that can be found everywhere in life. Reminding people that queerness can exist in many places through symbols, codes, and everyday beauty.
