WORK/ PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Vô Tónio’s Grocery is a neighbourhood store in Lisbon, passed down through generations. The founder’s son and his wife chose to modernise it while preserving its essence: connection, memory and simplicity. The brand was inspired by their young daughter, who would run into the shop calling “Vô Tónio!” - a cheerful, spontaneous call that became the logo: a hand-drawn speech bubble, imperfect and human. The design includes hand-crafted typography, bread bags with Portuguese sayings, and shopping bags printed with stats on plastic use and its consequences. The most distinctive touch? Business cards made from leftover store boxes, stamped by hand. Each client picked their favourite back, cereal box, wine case, making every card unique.
